She is currently working on a novel, charting the connection between the narrator and the fin de si\u00e8cle South African writer Olive Schreiner. During his military service from 1942 to 1947, he wrote poems in Dutch and Papiamento, some of which were published in <i>Afschuw van licht; gedichten 1946-1951<\/i>. After the war, Marugg joined the PR department of Shell, where he worked as an editor for the company magazine <i>De Passaat<\/i> among other things. He took early retirement in 1973. His debut novel, <i>Weekendpelgrimage<\/i>, was published in 1958 and <i>In de straten van Tepalka<\/i>followed in 1967. <i>De morgen loeit weer aan<\/i> was published in 1988, which was nominated for the AKO Literature Prize and for which he received the Cola Debrotprize in 1989. She sometimes makes art and sometimes writes, and sometimes combines the two. She is currently a member of the band <a rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/tes-damen.bandcamp.com\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\"><em>Tes Damen<\/em><\/a> and previously the band <a rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/difficultband\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\"><em>Difficult<\/em><\/a>. Alongside Daniel Tuomey, she is a member of <a rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/the.postpeople\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\"><em>The Postpeople<\/em><\/a>, an artist duo operating under the alibi of a band, who make performances and teach together.
